TDC has had another busy month in and out of classes. Time to recap what we have been up to, see our month's highlights, and what we have to look forward to, coming into our last month of 2023.
What we’ve been up to
Another amazing month with our TDC family. We have worked hard on our technique and perfected and started lots of new sequences in classes getting us ready to start show routines after Christmas. Here’s some of our November highlights.
Our inter hip-hop class have been working on 3 different sequences, drilling to perfection, channeling our inner Beyonce, Rihanna’s or Britney’s.
The all boys TDC crew have been building their team working skills working in different groups for new sequences.
Our preschool classes have been stealing the show with how well they’re all getting on in class, especially our baby hip-hop with their amazing sassy walks.
Our Tuesday junior girls have started some moves that will be going in their ballet show routine next year.
Our senior ballet classes have been growing their technique every work, working on double pose turns in class.
We have had some more new skills from our stretch and skills pupils, levels 1, 2 and 3. All levels have been focusing on their flexibility this month and are showing massive improvement in their splits and leg holds.
The staff attended a fundraising event for the Ronald McDonald House, in memory of our KitCat, alongside Catriona’s mum Fiona and her KitCat Rainbow Warriors. We love supporting these events, and donations were made on behalf of TDC from Emma.
We have had some more birthdays. Happy Birthday again to our Stretch and skills teacher Bethany. Also, a huge happy birthday to all our November pupils, especially our beautiful senior Chloe Love who spent the day with us in class.
Standout class of the month!
Our standout class of the month, we want to shine a light on for their hard work, and energy are our Inter Musical theatre class, they are always keeping Ellie on her toes while producing great content in class. They continue to work on several different songs and routines simultaneously in class, while we work on growing confidence. This week they have finished up working on their footloose number, while learning new songs from The School of Rock, and Dear Evan Hansen to sing.

Chico and Sparkles Adventures
Our Mascots on the loose again. This month they went home with lots of well deserving pupils to take care of for the week.
Rebecca Snape for her consistent hardwork and positivity in class, teaching our newer kids to never give up!
Oliver Logan for being an all rounder in class, he is a great helper, works hard and has amazing moves. He has impressed us so much with how much he's came on the last few weeks.
Lacey Miller for being an amazing team leader, with super listening ears and being most improved in class with her technique.
Noah Rafiq for settling into class after weeks of being unsure, now shining and having lots of fun with us every week. Amelia Hart for finally having the courage to try her handstands and cartwheels, the improvement in confidence has been amazing from this wee star.
Well done our wee superstars, thank you for taking care of our bears!
Upcoming events…
IT’S TIIIMMMMMMMEEEEEEE!
The festive period is finally here, we have been telling the younger pupils Santa’s watching for weeks, but now its finally true. Our TDC teachers have been having their weekly meetings with Santa to discuss the naughty and nice list, and we’re glad to say Santa has been pleased so far.
TDC will close its doors for the Christmas holidays on Saturday the 16th of December and will welcome you all back in the new year on Monday the 8th of January 2024!!
As always, we will be getting in the festive spirit for classes in our last few weeks, there may be extra games and treats to help us get excited for the big day, so please feel free to wear your Christmas accessories to classes along with your uniform.
TDC Christmas Party 2023
Twas the night of Wednesday the 20th of December and all through TDC’s Hall, a Christmas party was bouncing with kids having a Ball!
Leaving the year with a bang, we will be hosting some Christmas parties to celebrate with our pupils at our Studio…
4.30pm-5.30pm – TDC Preschool Christmas Party
5.45pm-7.15pm – TDC Junior Christmas Party (P1-P3)
7.30pm-9pm – TDC Inter and Senior Christmas Party (P4-Secondary School)
Our boys only class are welcome to any session that suits their age group (see above), it’s not just for the girls. All TDC are welcome.
Tickets will be £5 per pupil for our Preschool session, and £8 per pupil for all other sessions. There will be limited numbers for each session, and they will be held at our studio. Get your party sparkles on ready for a boogie.
What’s New at TDC
Well… if you haven’t heard the big news already our principle Emma is having a baby, due in May 2024. We absolutely loved getting to share these special moments with the kids in class. Emma shared this week her gender reveal… it’s a girl.
We also introduced some new equipment to the studio. One of our parents kindly helped us fundraise the money to purchase new mats for the kids. They have gone down a treat so far, we have been using them across our stretch and skills classes, from the boys to the baby’s and our 3 levels and intend to use them more and more.
Wrapped up in a Christmas bow! We finally introduced bows to the uniform list. Christmas uniform orders are now closed until the new year, the team has been working hard BTS to get all Santa’s orders to him ASAP, but there’s still time to order a bow before Christmas for your stocking fillers. The Bows are £8, come on bobbles and are personalised with the pupil’s name, or nickname. Orders must be placed by the 8th of December to be ready in time for Christmas.
