We would like to introduce a monthly newsletter for all things TDC, from little achievements to upcoming events, the blog will keep us all up to date with what’s been happening at TDC in and out of classes.

What we’ve been up to
Wow! What a moth we’ve had! This month has been one of TDC’s most stressful yet rewarding months ever…
Ellie celebrated another birthday, thank you to all who helped her celebrate! We always like to take a moment to thank our staff for their dedication and hard work! We would also like to say a massive happy birthday to all our October Superstars…
Sarah Davenport, Eliza Domanska, Priya Hume, Poppy Ramage and Ruby Jones, who all shared their birthdays with us in class.
Besides moving we have been working extremely hard in class while having lots of fun. Here’s some of our favourite highlights from the last month .
Our Musical theatre classes have been working on some amazing songs from film and theatre, including the new Barbie movie, High School Musical and Dear Evan Hanson.
Our Lyrical classes have been a real highlight for us this month, shining in passion and technique. Our Inters may have even started their show routine…
Stretch and skills pupils have had another month of reaching personal goals. A special well done to our Lauren Wilson for achieving her fall back into bridge, Lacey Rice for her back walkover progress, we had lots of new back handsprings and well done to Ruby and Murren for moving up to level 3.
Halloween Week and upcoming events …
Rounding off the month with an amazing week of spooky celebrations. We had the best week playing games, making Halloween routines, and dressing in our best costumes. Check out our Facebook album for all our amazing pictures from this fun week.
Upgraded for the adults! If you didn’t know we at TDC run an adult fitness class every Thursday. Clubbercise with Ellie has been a favorite of ours for years now, we have been working hard to upgrade this class, and our new studio has allowed us to do that. We have new tracks every week and are welcome to new members whether that’s pay as you go or subscribing monthly. We have created a great community of ladies who work hard and have lots of clubbing fun. Check out our adult fitness class page for more info.
We hope you’ve loved some of our scary content, it has been a thrill. Our next big festive event will be in the run-up to Christmas, we look forward to sharing our plans with you.
In the meantime, we would like to enjoy a month of hard work, dedication, and routine bag to the dance school, now we have gotten used to our new normal. We will be working hard behind the scenes to secure show plans, and we have some very exciting news coming your way…
Chico and Sparkles Adventures
Our TDC mascots have been very busy this month looking after some very hard-working pupils.
Blaire Wark for her amazing improvement in her leaps showing us what a big girl she can be focusing on in class.
Amy Somers for her hard work in Saturday classes, being a super line leader, and setting an example in class.
Tilly Payne, our sassy queen, worked hard every class giving us the best energy and pouty faces.
All things new at TDC!!
With the new studio we have been focusing on making the best of our new space. New Studio, New Equipment, NEW NEW NEW, we have had so much new adapting to our new surroundings, creating new protocols and constantly trying to improve ourselves.
If you didn’t already know… we have officially got our very own TDC studio, and have been moved in for 1 Whole month. We have moved Monday through Friday to TDC studios, we have put so much time, effort and money into making this place a home and we are so grateful to have this opportunity to share this space with you. The STUDIO is still a work in progress as even today we are still making tweaks to add all the finishing touches. Please help us thank all those behind the scenes for making this move possible! Check out our socials for a look at some of the studio progress so far.
In this time we have worked to acquire some new equipment to optimise the space. Using some of our funds donated from the awards night and money out our own pockets we have purchased mirrors to surround the studio, new storage and boxes, and shoe racks for our entrance way. We hope to spend next month acquiring new mats with the rest of our fundraising.
Lastly, we have started our own TikTok account, we have been a little quiet this past week on all our socials, as we have been so busy in class. But, we intend to share more and more of what we get up to in class and BTS at TDC. The kids have absolutely loved making the few videos we have posted, so we can’t wait to do more. Make sure you check out our page and give us a like and follow.
Uniform Update
As we head into the colder months we would like to remind kids to come to class prepared.
Outdoor shoes …
We do not allow outdoor shoes into the studio, we have shoe racks for pupils to place their shoes on entry. We would like to remind you that all classes require dance footwear, where you can try to wear slide-on shoes, sliders, crocs etc. to save time in class. Classes such as musical theatre and baby hip hop should wear black jazz shoes, Boys classes may wear these also, if no we suggest getting black plim soles to wear in class, and keep these in your dance bags, as again we don’t want any outdoor shoes coming into the studio space. This is especially important coming into the cold wet months.
Staying warm…
While we do have heating in the studio, the studio can get cold in the cold months. We want to make sure kids are properly dressed in ‘warm up wear’ hoodies, joggers, leggings etc. to warm up in class, which can be removed.
These protocols keep everyone safe, the studio clean and optimize the use of the studio. Thank you all for understanding.
As always we have been super busy…. The end of this month marks one full month in our new space, we hope you have all been loving it as much as we have. This is all very new for us and the kids and we are always open to feedback to help us grow and improve, especially adapting to our new space.
