Its back… finally getting the chance to get our blogs back on track, after the busiest few months of TDC! There’s a lot to catch up over the months of February and March, and we have so much more exciting things coming up.
What we’ve been up to …
This last few months of TDC have been filled with fun, lots of announcements and changes going on behind the scenes but our TDC stars haven’t missed a beat. We have had new skills achieved ever single week, the kids are smashing their content. We have had so many stand out performances in class, and so much more. Here are our Feb/Mar highlights…

- So many of our S&S girls have been moved up a level, ISLA,OLIVIA,EVE,ALESSIA,ARIELLA,ARIA,ELLIE,LACEY – have all moved up a level, well done girls.
- I has been a month for backbends EVE, ISLA,OLIVIA,AMY,NEVE,LYDIA,LACEY, EMILY have all picked up this skill in the last few weeks, down to their hard work and determination, we are so proud of you all.
- In February our team took on the task of renewing their first aid safety training, with the team at Infusion Dance Company. This has been so important making sure the school is always in capable hands, when it comes to safety.
- Show routines have been really impressing all of the teachers, we have only just started and the energy, passion and performance has been shining through in so many of our dancers. Now we just need to focus on finishing content and clean clean clean to be show ready.
- We have started looking into show costumes… arguably one of the most exciting things for the kids, come show time, is getting to wear costumes, so we can’t wait to start this process again, and hype the dancers up giving them a sneak peak into their costumes for each dance.
- Babys – we have welcomed lots of new wee faces to our team this month and they are settling in so well, it is such a hard task coming into a new class, but they have all been amazing additions to TDC and we can’;t wait to continue to watch them grow and shine with us.
- Special mention to our Tuesday Intermediate Tappers, their show routine has been the most polished clean, and professional looking dance for this years show, so far. They are smashing the tap and we are very proud of how this team of dancers is looking.

Class stand Outs
This Month as we said has been unreal for little performers shining through… There are a few special mentions from our achievement book that we would like to shine a light on and say a massive well done for their passion and performance in classes.
Halle Johnstone and Georgia Oliver, in Junior MT, this class as a whole has been amazing. But these two girls have really been shining in performing their routine.
Lauren Mcguill – Stand out in inter jazz and tap. This girl is just so passionate, being new to dance she never forgets a move or misses a beat in class. Her smile when she performs has been a joy to watch.
Freya Braxton – Senior MT Standout, for picking up missed choreography and showing great initiative in class. True professional.
Ellis and Islay nailed their cartwheels with pom poms for their Cheer routine, this is a hard skill for two P1, we are so impressed. And Ariella Dempsey for her cheer class also nailing content!!
Lastly Hope Brown, this girl never misses a class and her technique shows it. She has been a standout for having beautiful technique across all her Inter dances but especially her Saturday ballet dance.
Well done.

Class of the Month
Emmas Notes from class...

WOW WOW WOW. These notes from our achievement book say it all. The Junior MT class has always been one of our most fun classes, this year we have been struggling to decide on what musical we will be portraying in the show and they have been trialing lots of different Ideas. In March Emma and the team finally decided on a theme, no sneak peaks yet (so kids shh… it’s a secret) and with that they threw a whole load of content at them in just one class. The outcome was amazing, being one of the later classes to start their routine they are now almost done, which is amazing for a class so young. The talent is shining through!
We can’t wait to get them into a recording session and on the big stage soon.
Chico and sparkles adventures
Sparkles and Chico have been very well taken care of by lots of well deserving kids. Here they are so proud of themselves, as they should be and why they got this wee reward in class.

Emma’s Maternity Leave

This month we waves goodbye to our Principle Emma as she heads out on maternity leave to welcome baby girl King into the world, very soon. The team celebrated her off at her baby shower last week. Emma we love and appreciate you and can’t wait to welcome a new member to the TDC team, we wish you the best of luck welcoming your bundle of joy into the world. And hope you don’t take too long coming back to classes to help us get show ready.
In her absence the amazing Emma will be taking on the role of Dance School Manager as you will have seen on our socials. Good luck Emma we know you will smash it and take care of the team in the run up to our 2024 show.
