VOCAL RECORDING SESSION
It is so important for the children who attend our Musical Theatre classes to know the lyrics to the song/songs they are performing for the show. Lyrics have been sent out via our parents whatsapp group therefore we would appreciate your support in encouraging your child to practice these regularly throughout the weeks before the recording session.
Times & songs for each session are below;
Junior MT (singing in the rain & walking on sunshine) – 11-12pm
Inter MT (Stick to the status quo – high school musical) 12-1pm
Senior MT (Oh My God you guys – legally blonde) – 1-2pm
REHEARSAL
It is crucial for all show participants to attend the rehearsal at our venue, The Beacon Arts Centre. This rehearsal will follow the same procedure as classes: parents should drop off their children at the designated time slot and return for pick-up. While parents are welcome to wait in the coffee shop in the foyer, they are not allowed into the auditorium. This rule is set by The Beacon Arts Centre, and we appreciate your cooperation. Please refer to the schedule below for your allocated rehearsal time.
SUNDAY 30th MARCH – BEACON ARTS CENTRE
10 - 10.45am – BABIES
10.45 – 11.45am – PRE SCHOOL
11.45-1.45pm – JUNIORS
1- 6pm – INTERS
1– 2.15pm BOYS
1– 6pm – SENIORS
If you child only attends acro they will be required during the boys rehearsal time 1pm - 2.15pm on 30th March.
SHOW START TIMES & ARRIVAL TIMES

Saturday 17TH MAY – SHOW STARTS AT 6.30 PM, arrival times as follows:
5pm – INTERS & SENIORS
5.15PM – JUNIORS
5.45PM – BOYS, BABIES & TINY TOTS
Sunday 18TH MAY STARTS AT 2PM, arrival times as follows:
12.30PM – INTERS, SENIORS
12.45PM – JUNIORS
1.15PM – BOYS, BABIES & TINY TOTS
SHOW RECORDING
This year's performance will be filmed and available to view online via a vimeo link. The cost for the show recording has been covered for you and will be sent out to you via email once available.
COSTUME EXTRAS
These are items that the pupils will need on top of their costumes provided by us. We ask that everyone check this list and have the appropriate extras for the performance. If you are unsure of the correct footwear your child needs for their class(es) please do ask when at drop off.
BABIES & PRE SCHOOL – Plain White frilled ankle sock. White pants. No vests.
Please note for our 9.30am Baby class only each child will require one helper per show due to their age to help dress them and look after them during waiting times. Our Pre-school classes will have 1 helper to every 4 children however we do recommend each child from each class can at least have one helper allocated for one of the two shows to help with familiarity.
BOYS
Black underwear. No vests. Black ankle socks.
JUNIORS – Plain White frilled ankle sock. White pants. No vests.
INTERS – Plain black ankle sock. Nude underwear – bras/vests and pants or nude all in one.
SENIORS – Nude underwear – bras & pants.
ONCE COSTUMES ARE COMPLETELY FINALISED ANY EXTRAS REQUIRED BY STUDENTS WILL BE SENT OUT AT A LATER TIME.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT DANCERS HAVE THE CORRECT DANCE SHOES FOR EACH CLASS. DANCE SHOES WILL BE NEEDED FOR THE SHOW AND CHILDREN SHOULD BE WEARING THESE TO PRACTICE IN FROM NOW. IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT HAVE THE CORRECT FOOTWEAR WE ASK THAT YOU LOOK TO GET THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
All dancers will also need their TDC T-shirt and black TDC leggings or plain black leggings for the finale.
Limited edition show t-shirts are NOW available to order. These t-shirts are also suitable for the finale. Please note the limited edition show t-shirts are not available online as these are only limited edition for our show and these can only be ordered through us at class or via email/text or message. Personalisation for show t-shirts is NOT available. Payment can be handed in a sealed envelope with your name and which size you would like marked on the front and the correct amount inside or via bank transfer after correspondence via a message. Show t-shirts are priced at £20 each and are available in the following sizes:
Children’s sizes – Age 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-13
Adult sizes – Small, medium, large, XL, XXL
All show t-shirt orders must be placed by the Friday 4th April to arrive in time for the show.
PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Can we please take this opportunity to ask that ALL of your child’s personal belongings i.e. shoes, costume extras, clothing etc is clearly marked with their name. We can’t be held responsible for lost property however, names on personal belongings help us to rectify a problem like this more efficiently. Can we also ask that each child only brings a small bag with only the essentials; shoes, any costumes extras, drink and a small snack (NO NUTS). Changing areas will be reset on Saturday evening after the show therefore all pupils must take their bags home with them and bring back with them for Sundays performance.
HAIR
Babies & Pre-school – bunchies/pig tails where possible. All other student’s hair should be up and scraped back off the face – style can be individual to each dancer. No hair accessories and any bobbles should be the same colour as hair. Glitter is allowed. Please note all hair to be done prior to dropping your child off. If you need assistance with hair for your child please let us know in advance, however you may be asked to arrive slightly earlier to accommodate this. Make up is not necessary however should you wish to apply make up to your child this should also be done prior to dropping your child off at their designated time.
PARENT HELPERS

Thank you so much to all of those who have volunteered as a parent helper backstage this year, the show could not run without you and your help is greatly appreciated. Can we please remind you there are strict rules backstage and once the children arrive, parents who are not helpers are NOT allowed backstage. All of our helpers will be identifiable to venue staff and anyone who is not a helper will not have backstage access. Parent helpers are asked to attend a meeting to be talked through a breakdown of the evening and how things will work. Attendance at this meeting is extremely important as you will be given the names of the children you are helping and we ask where possible that you make yourself known to them and their parents in advance.
FINALE

All pupils will need to arrive wearing their uniform to change into after they have performed their dances. All dancers will need their TDC T-shirt and black TDC leggings or plain black leggings/joggers for the finale.
Baby and Pre-school pupils will have their own finale at the end of the first half of the show, then they will be free to be collected by one parent at the interval.
